Good morning Pixel, Happy new year, yep stumbled upon that site a day or so ago put it in the favorites to check later and forgot all about it thanks for the reminder
Mack, after syncing this morning I am now using a freshly generated lua-gluefunctions.bmx after editing SDK\BMX\Framework\Framework.bmx in notepad. And lower casing the "M" back in line 90.
Don't think I am using the "old" lua scripts as the Graphics HDD got blanked and all new installs for everything were done. Yes am using the new framewOrk now, and the lua-gluefunctions.bmx downloaded from another thread from Josh's fwtest.zip. Can't spot any major differences between your code and mine
Ok, running your download (obviously adjusting the path to the SDK's BMX folder for my install) I get the same ..
But, copying the map (testscene.sbx testscene.raw testscene_alpha.dds) to my Basic test apps map directory and running it with my code (which is basically the same as yours) I get ...
No I had the small lag in the older version of 2.3 .. but this is a fresh full install and all I get when submerged is a grey screen .. this is leaving (as usual) the waterplanes default settings. I don't think I have ever used anything but the submerged defaults.
I think the bug report was for vegetation shadows, There was a similar problem HERE. not sure if it is the same problem and will be any help though Roland.
Anyone else having this trouble, when going "under" water in the editor the screen just goes grey? Is there something that now needs to be set instead of just going with the default settings? This is a fresh full install of the SDK as of this morning.
Josh reported Christmas eve that There was a crazy sale on Steam and if you hadn't played STALKER, you could get it for $10.. well I had replaced my damaged copy only two days before that via steam .. and had cost me a whopping £1.39 ($2.22).. well if the $10 (£6.99) was still too steep a price for you, get over to steam now as its now only £2.00 ($3.24).. http://store.steampowered.com/app/4500/
Ignore the date on this entry it was posted today (Jan 3rd 2010) but the Blog date system only goes up to 2009 for me there must be a switch around here somewhere ..
Not sure I follow point 1
Ok, good to know as I did not know this, the original Q arose when re-installing Bmax and a new folder had appeared.
Again, I did not know this, but hey, thanks for the curt response.
Nothing much to report at the moment, still tinkering with some ideas, but thought I would take this opportunity to wish everyone, a happy, safe and rewarding new year.
Happy New Year Everyone.
Not sure that answers my question, unless of course its a way of saying the answer to what are the gains for Bmax users with this? or more generally what was accomplished? is nothing.
