    ..of course its not compatible with anyone else's code, but my aim is to be compatible with every version/port i do for internal studio use, so to me is essential to have freedom as I have right now..thats why Im wondering about LE3.x nature compared to LE2.x

    ....interesting as i have all this done in LE2..so as I said many times before, I just hope LE3.x will not be structured in such way that forcing user to use provided systems, but instead, keep wide open for anything, as LE2.x is..

  4. in my experience, MoveEntity is not time adjusted, so it will move at different speeds on different computers. I just multiply it with Delta_Time and its stable and same accross all PC's
  5. ..if light source has disabled shadows casting, this may happen..
  6. 1) Keep splash screen for about 2-3 seconds after whole scene is loaded and running..then fade it out, and system should be already stable 2) Dont run any update, until system is stabilized (2-3 seconds in loop)

  10. ..prince of persia 1 (from DOS), had animation done with EDIT (plain text editor under DOS) and still camera..its still better than most of the modern 2D side scroller games i have seen..point is, its not about engine you use, but craftmanship..so, Xors or LE, it doesnt matter, if it is in good hands, so there is no reason to compare or bash each other..you choose what you want so its fine, just go with it man..simple as it is..

  15. LE doesnt know TImage..instead, LE loading TTexture
  16. ..yes, you need to update shader of your interest, attached to specific material, in order to do that..
  17. ...differencies you should consider are fact that Xors3D is DX9 based system, LE is OpenGL based system (SM3 and up)...second thing is that, if you are okay with DX9, then you have to investigate whats going on with development, because, rumor is that development is, so to speak, stalled, because 2 developers of system left, and only one guy is in development pipeline, so im not sure about its future, if rumors are true..i have had experience with Xors (i have it too, among dozen amount of other systems), and far as my memory serves me, developers were really nice fellas, but im not sure what is going on right now..I hope they will keep moving..

  20. ..AlignToVector is your best bet , if you dont want to mess with quaternions and such..
  21. ..from user standpoint, yes, it is an issue (non scalable physics objects)..however, soon as programmer who use LE, outgrowth it enough, such problem will dissapear as such person will easy plug in something much nicer, such as Bullet, and enjoy development..I say that simply because only thing I think is worth in LE is renderer..rigged with Bullet and Raknet, its a monster...problem is, of course, it require some time to work to reach that stage..but its worth. I really hope LE3 will have option to purchase renderer only..
  22. ..i dont know what is T3D so i cant say..as for Unity or UDK, its very subjective..if your aim is PC only, then LE beats out badly Unity, as for UDK, it can go visuals wise pretty much same, while price and offered license is more than ridiculous(means GOOOOOOD) compared to UDK. However, if your intention is cross platform, LE is no way to go (not in its current form). Simple as it is, far as i can tell.

  24. ...i suspect, you trying to access certain child within your loaded mesh..I have had same issue with export from 3dsmax...i noticed that long as i have 110-120 individual meshes within level, it returns proper entity by name..more than 110-120(you have to test yourself exact number), its happening some weird stuff...because of that, I have decided to load separately, every individual mesh I want to be dynamic on any way..
