  1. Works, and yes you need the game main lua because it uses the gui system classes. I will try to make this more robust, but i tried with level 2 and 3 after some changes and it works.

  3. I dont know, i think besides me, Slas may have some time.Thirsty was not active for some time ,and the rest of the people were active at beginning only. But i think maybe after release v1 , we could get some more people interested, ar at least i hope. From my part you can go with it , i will try to help if i can.

  5. For sleep level 2: Seem good solution the blackout, so probably will let the player wonder a bit in the cryo room then blackout (and prevent him doing other actions). If he still doesnt activate the health station after sleep level , we could blackout again without the level just an effect. And slowly loosing health, die after some time if you dont heal.

Comments and new stuff: Finalise Menus - add back the power by leadwerks image bottom right of menu screen (Materials\Menu\PoweredByLeadwerksLogo.tex) or credits screen Finish sorting progression in cryo room - Agree may need discussion Also want to remind Vr level activation should be after some physcal action in cryo room (button press,lever etc), then terminal can be pressed to enter VR. Some visual effect after start/activate computer command given in vr that will be seen in cryo room. Better integrate hangar/robot/device room (second room) - we will need a terminal/panel to access vr level from here also Dream world - second level - working on this , will be some exploration mechanic. You will climb a tower, walk on top of level, talk to 3 robots , use a teleport , restore power to some generator and a few other things. And purpose of this level will be to introduce some simple mechanics, and learn a VR level command , im not finish with this may change but this is the idea so far. What i dont know for sure is how to integrate this with the other levels. Im thinking this level should be after some event in cryo room , but before accessing the VR level. Maybe give the player the choice to go to sleep and this level will show up, any idea how to handle this ? Make sense in a way ,the first dream level you are still inside the cryo device sleeping. story wise. Accreditation of resources - dont know for sure , model wise i dont think we have
  8. There is a new Main.lua.orig which is the unmodified Main.lua you get from a new project. Want to use the editor for testing development, rename/copy the Main.lua.orig over the game Main.lua and use editor as usually. Want to test inside game, copy back the game modified Main.lua. Want to change levels in game: Sometimes gworld file might change and you could have older version, delete gworld in case of crash , the file is auto generated correctly at startup. I think this is good enough for our purposes.
  9. I updated the map. Now there is a tower to climb and walk-able upper level once you get on top of tower.Maybe add a dialog to the robot there. Still wip because i wasnt able to climb the tower too hard
  10. Added a new work in progress map similar to level1. Featuring vertical rotating pillars. monolith, and lots of robots watching your course. May be too hard at the moment need more work. We could use as another level , dont know where.Tell me what do you think of this. Btw what tool you use to record movies ? i could use that, but for moment just a screenshot

    Spell selector is back and some health text. I used some content from here: https://opengameart.org/content/magic-orbs-0 Is this ok ? or want something more fancier.

    The spell selector is still there dont remember how it got disabled ,ill enable it back i think is simple and effective, just need some more fancy graphics. I was thinking to use something like in half life, some camera shake + icon for showing damage. What do you think ?
  13. Just asking as i was not sure what you had in mind. Is nice concept we should go with this.And VR room will be more interesting because of this. Probably you will need several maps of VR room in different state of change. When we have this levels more or less final ill step in to help with dialogs and other stuff.

So this is intended as a real computer room in the ship to trigger vr ? and some other thing.Thats what i understand.And i think is a great idea more things to explore on the ship. Or will be the vr level ? But i also like that level3 with the holes in the ground, we should use that also for something.
  15. Ok i understand i like the concept, and looks great. Yes do that attack effect and simple respawn. So i limited the commands to give in first VR encounter to just 3: start computer, restart computer, exit vr But i also really need this 2 effects: the monolith/computer start , some shimmering or particle effect near the monolith and humming noise. Computer restart effect and sound After exit vr , some things will happen in cryo room, and maybe we get a second vr terminal in the second room after the doors. Maybe there the computer will inform you about this attack , i dont want to change the first dialog that is in place, its already dense with information. I think something like this is needed in cryo room, so that the player cant access the VR room from the start.
  16. All works. I did a commit for the dialogs and some fixes. Now we have this commands inside VR, in braces what effects are still nedeed: Monolith activation (start of humming noise and effects on the monolith) Monolith restart (restart sound) exit vr (the level transition is done just need some sound or effect) activate health station in cryo room (some sound and activation of health station) Also the red book in cryo room will contain a list of VR commands. Starting with the activate health station. The rest of above are given to you by the monolith and also instructs you to go read the red book. I can add any command with ease if we decide we need (like the ones you mentioned above). Also need sound and effects for the teleports. Other thing i noticed is that the cuboids start to go through the ground after some time , i dont know if its intended , but i kind of like it. I still have to save to disk the state of the level and handle respawn. Not sure here , maybe if you fall should be a penalty ? Im thinking to make the holes on the ground somewhat random because we will come back to this level, what you think of this ?

  18. Was because somehow the gworld file got commited. Never commit the gworld file, i have to write this somewhere visible. Now should work i tested with a new clone and game runs ok.
  19. Shouldn't be any error , delete the gworld file and try again maybe you have an older version. If still not working , run with debug on console and post the error.
  20. Ok i fixed the problem with teleports not getting selected in level3 and showing the cursor by default. Lost about an hour duh but finally figured it out... The Use function from the entity was not being called so no palm icon was printed, seem was related with entity not being found by using FindEntity or whatever related. The solution was to collapse the teleport_pad_v3 prefab. I also overwrite the old level3 with the level3a, now it works seem. But i dont see the changes you did with those many cubes around, maybe you didnt commit it yet ?
  21. Yes this is good. Totally agree this is needed.Can you do this, so we have only one GameMaps\level03\level.map. No gun/spell is required in VR room, have them disabled, just need the selection with palm cursor. Cool stuff here , maybe start with the enable health station and integrate it. I like the plan going further from cryo room.
  22. Rgr Imo we can consider the state of level 3 now final with respect to modelling.You agree ? or want to do more things here modeling wise. I want to make the first VR encounter shorter, to not scare the player, to simplify the dialog. To be more exact i want to have only one command inside VR that will affect the cryo room in some way.Maybe unlock the door or activate something, it must have some gameplay effect in cryo room.Welcome to suggestion here maybe you can do this gameplay effect in cryo room so i just trigger it from vr. Later we can add more stuff to VR the mechanics are there. So lets merge things up into level 3 , we need just one map to work on to wrap things up.
  23. I really like the third level from your movie. For first level i dont think the green props fit in.Maybe change color or remove green ones and add a few more cuboids. Rest are good especially the large ones. A few other things: The respawn on death to level 3 also is really needed. Add back the cursor so things can be selected with palm icon as before
  24. When i loose motivation i start to do smaller tasks or bug fixes, after some time looking back i can see i made progress even by doing those little things.Try see if it works for you. Other thing is switching to some other small project or different part of game for some time or really take a few weeks break from it. I have a game im working on for over 2 years now, as i do this in my free time i feel no pressure to finish this game. It's something unique that i crafted. But I know it will be done at some point.
