  1. Privately, yes. I licensed these and uploading publicly would probably be a problem. Mike
  2. If anyone would help me, I could send you what I have and if you could make it work in Leadwerks, that would be stellar. However, I would rather figure this out since I have a TON of characters to rig and animate. Mike
  3. I don't use Blender - cannot learn its interface. I do have Ultimate Unwrap Pro and Fragmotion. I also have Modo 10, but it's a bit complicated for this. Same with Shade 14 Pro. Carrara 8.5 Pro I know, but it's not very good at exporting. Mike
  4. Just so you know, these are very custom characters - a turtle, monkey, cat, etc. These are biped animals. Not humans or humanoids. Mike
  5. Because when the exported fbx from mixamo which includes the animatons in the file they are stripped out when imported into leadwerks. No animations. Just the rigged model. This is very frustrating. Mike
  6. In Mixamo, I do not get a option to export to Leadwerks. Am I missing something here? Mike
  7. I tried all this - did not work. I went back to the original rigged model in Mixamo (the website) and added animation to it and then qued it for download. I chose FBX (the other is Unity FBX - not sure which one?). The other parameters are T-Pose (or original FBX pose) and FPS which is set to 30. That's about it. I download it as a zipped file, unzip and then copy and paste those into the animation folder inside of Leadwerks (I created a animations folder to organize it). Leadwerks converts the files to .mdl and when I attempt to load them into the character they were made for - same rigging exactly - they fail with a error. I'm stuck and I really need this to work. Other models I bought from vendors with included animations work perfectly, so I do not know what I am doing wrong. Mike
  8. I did that and when I try to load the .mdl files into the model one-by-one, they all fail giving an error. These are fbx files straight from Mixamo. All I did was copy and paste them into a animation folder inside my model's folder. They obviously were converted, but none will load. Now what? Mike
  9. Nope. That did not work for me. I wish there was a step by step tutorial on how to create a 3rd person game. Mike
  10. I have no idea how to use the 3rd person camera from the store. I added a character and a camera. It seems I need to load the 3rd person lua script to the camera. Fine. Did that. I have no way to point to the turtle character. If I try to load a render target, it wants a .tex file (a texture). WTF??? Then, when I test it with just a terrain and a turtle character, the camera and a few lights, I fall through the terrain as does everything else. How do I set up the terrain so it has physics and I can stand on it - and other models don't fall through to oblivion. How do I set up the models so they don't fall through the terrain? Most importantly, how do I choose the turtle as the 3rd person character? If I attach the 3rd person script to the turtle, I get only blackness when running. Nothing shows up. I assume that's not the way to do it. Help please. Thanks. Mike
  11. How do I add animations to my model with the ones I use from Mixamo? They do not conform to Leadwerks format. They can either be in FBX or Collada, as far as I know. I have a bunch of them, but all in FBX format. Any suggestions? Mike
  12. Forget it - I read the manual and found it in the model editor. So far, so good. Mike
  13. I'm back! I am bringing in my characters into Leadwerks and I am trying to scale down one of them - it's ginormous! I can't seem to find a way to scale all (all three axis) nor can I find a numerical way to do so. How can I do this? Mike
  14. I created it as a Lua project, so something is obviously wrong. Mike
  15. Yes - too much like exploding the faces (polygons). I need volumetric chunkiness. Mike
  16. Yes. 3.0 with IOS and Android, Lua and C++, but I am no C++ coder. Mike
  17. Every time I try to run a simple level with a terrain, a model and a lua player script attached to it, I get this: Failed to create debug process "C:/Users/MFelker/Documents/Leadwerks/Projects/Billy1/Billy1.exe". It will not write the .exe no matter what I do. I changed the folder permissions to admin and I am running as admin. What should I do to make this work? I also got this for the included demo level. What now? Mike
  18. Great - now to find a really good cracking plugin for my modelling software. Mike
  19. So point releases do cost more money. Sigh. So it costs $99 to upgrade to the latest version. I have stand alone - what do I lose by going with STEAM, which, as you know, is also $99 for everyone? Considering I started with 1.0 (actually, I have been with Leadwerks since day one), is there an upgrade price that is a bit better than the STEAM price, since it's the same? Lastly, do I need to also upgrade the Android and IOS exporters each and every time? It could get costly if that's the case and i'd have to stay with Unity. Mike
  20. As the title asks, I upgraded to 3.0 for Mac/PC and IOS/Android in April. Is 3.2 a paid upgrade and if so, what is the cost from 3.0 to 3.2? Mike
  21. Very interesting. That means I would need to have some kind of ability in my 3D modeling software to 'crack' the model ahead of time. You are suggesting that I then use physics to complete the explosion of the 'cracks'? Is that what you mean? Mike
  22. How would I create some sprite gauges that stay on screen throughout the game? How can we implement a mini-map of the level? Mike
  23. I am creating a game where the main character uses a variety of weapons to destroy things and when he hits something, it explodes into fragments. I don't want to explode just the polygons, I actually want chunky explosions. Now, I have this working in Unity, but Unity is a pain in the butt overall and I am having to work around so many things that I am looking at Leadwerks more seriously for our project. Critical to the game is these explosions - so the questions is, can it be done and if so, how hard is it to do so? Any input is welcome. Mike
  24. Can we get access to STEAM workshop if we own Leadwerks 3.x but not the STEAM edition? Is there an upgrade price for the STEAM edition so we can get access to the STEAM workshop? I feel i'm missing out. Mike
