Yes. If you also know the name of the map, you get a cookie!

Today I decided to work on a remake of a popular map that was included in a cult-classic game: Name that map! It's just stock textures and the stock FPS player for now, but I hope to make this into a cool shooting game someday. And yes: my intention is to remake the entire map! In all of it's Leadwerks 4.0 glory! -Edit- This version is complete:

That's the thing: I ám using GMail. And I already answered you before: my IP does not match the one in that e-mail (209.85.215.46). Besides, I can send e-mails to other people just fine.
-
Is there anything I can do right now? I also checked my e-mail's spambox and there's nothing in there either.
-
It's not my IP.

You seem to have some issues with your e-mail address, because I haven't gotten any e-mails from you and when I tried to e-mail you earlier I received an automatically generated e-mail that read this: "This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY. YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE. Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed: support at leadwerks.com Message will be retried for 1 more day(s) Technical details of temporary failure: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the server for the recipient domain leadwerks.com by leadwerks.com. I'm sorry to say, but the updater for 3.1 still needs a registration key in order to update.
-
Oh, that's interesting! Should I look out for a e-mail or private message? Thanks for the quick reply! If I could make a suggestion: It would be pretty cool if I could view my registration code in my profile settings ala Adobe products.
-
When I try that, it says "The member Josh cannot receive any new messages"...

Dear Josh, It seems that I cannot contact you through the Support e-mail address, hence why I hope to contact you here. I've been having issues with my registration key. I would like to download Leadwerks 3.1, but I need to enter my registration key to download it. I either lost my registration key, or I was never given one so I was hoping you could (re)send this to me. As you can see by my account, I purchased Leadwerks 3 so I hope to make use of 3.1 as soon as possible. Thanks for your time,

CSG editing in leadwerks 3
Wolfieboy commented on Andy Gilbert's blog entry in Leadwerks 3 Experience
Does anyone remember the function in the Hammer Editor that allows you to stretch any corner of a BSP block? If this feature would be implemented in Leadwerks 3 I would be a happy man! -
Leadwerks 3.0 Terrain Update Now Available

Same thing here, and my video card is almost identical as well. I think its because of compatibility issues with older maps, but I could be wrong. -
Leadwerks 3.0 Terrain Update Now Available

I have to say I like the landscape editor a lot, and I love how artist-friendly it is. One thing though: the landscape editor seems to be incompatible with my map that I worked on before the update (it creates an 'exception access violation' error and then closes LW. Should I just re-import all the stuff into a new map for it to work or is there another solution? -
I agree with Rick. The most interesting niche I have seen in mobile gaming devices has been motion controls (tilting the phone), but aside from that I have never seen somebody play a serious game that is not Angry Birds on a phone or tablet for longer than 5 minutes. Not that there is anything wrong with that by itself of course. I do think that the mobile's app market is going to expand a lot more in the future though, but just not exactly in gaming. Or at least, not yet to the degree that we know of in the PC and console gaming communities. Also: I'm really looking forward to seeing that landscape editor!

Sorry for the delayed reply. Blender seems to be doing the trick, but I think I'm going to check out that converter since it might make my job a lot easier. Thanks a bunch for your quick replies and suggestions!

Hello there, I recently purchased Leadwerks 3 and I'm quite happy with it. However, I use Wings 3D myself to create and export static 3D models and I noticed that there is not a single file supported by Leadwerks to which Wings 3D can convert. There seems to be an option to import .OBJ files, but this didn't do anything for me (except it froze Leadwerks once). Is there any easy way to export a 3DS or OBJ file to a file that Leadwerks supports? I noticed that Leadwerks 3 supports FBX and GMF, but again these files are not supported by Wings and I can't find any exporters for it. I would appreciate it if somebody could help me out. I know the majority of people use high-end software such as 3DS Max, but for static models a light-weight program like Wings is more ideal for me and I'm more familiar with it. Greetings,

I see, I didn't think about that. Thanks for your time!

Thanks for the quick reply! Is this function going to get updated into the trial version? I would like to get familiar with these aspects before deciding on a purchase.

Hello everybody, I'm trying out the trial version of Leadwerks 3 to see if it suits my needs. The game I want to develop has a team of four people, so I would like to be able to share projects over Skype to keep eachother up to date. We tried the project manager option, but we found that after I unpacked the folder that my partner created with his Leadwerks 3 trial into my Leadwerks >> Projects folder, the project manager would not recognize it. We tried searching for a sollution to this, but we couldn't find any. Since teamwork is very crucial for our project, I would like to know the most efficient method of sharing our project using Leadwerks. I will be waiting for your reply!

I'm sorry, but I do think the videocard matters. I've ran LW on lowest settings before, and still the FPS wouldn't get much higher than 10. Today I ran UDK's example maps on DirectX 11 with my new videocard, and still the FPS was pretty stable throughout everything.
-
Just posting another update! Today I got my videocard (its a Sapphire RADEON HD 7750 by the way, herp derp ), and after building it in my PC and installing all the drivers I ran Leadwerks again and... ITS FLYING! XD I went from having barely 10 FPS, to an amazing almost constant 60 FPS! This is amazing!

Thats a pity. I can possible manage 200 bucks for a license, but 400 would be a little too much for our budget. Isn't there any other option?
-
I've got a quick offtopic question though. I already asked this over the e-mail to support, but I haven't gotten any reply so I'll just try my luck here. If I would like to continue working with Leadwerks, and purchase a license, would I be able to run LW on two systems? Because I'm working with a friend, who doesn't exactly live across the block from here, and we would both like to be able to run it and work as a team if we decide to go with LW.
-
Nah, I know it was a good model. I wouldn't buy anything that I'm not sure of, I'm just not good with names. Besides, I arranged that I can return the videocard if I'm not happy with it.
-
I can't remember (I suck at remembering names, haha).
