  1. Ahh cool. Thats not really much difference I suppose and I can live with only making Windows games for now, at least until I learn most things to making games. The coding aspect of things I am still new to and I've been learning Lua and C++ Cheers Rick thanks for the quick reply!
  2. Hi Guys, I have recently purchased Leadwerks Game Engine: Indie Edition on Steam and was wondering if there is any differences from the Steam version and the version that is sold here on the website? Also wanted to know if Steam updates automatically? Or would I have to download some sort of patch from here to update? Thanks for the info!
  3. Hi Drumwrist, I am also interested and it sounds like we are very much in the same position haha. I to am learning 3D Modelling and I use 3D Coat to do this, I also am using Leadwerks on Steam (so if your on Steam add me: dazoo10). I can teach you what I have learnt with modelling in the last week which really brought everything together for me. I have managed to get one of my models from 3D Coat into Leadwerks aswell and learnt about the physics you need to apply to your model in order for your FPS Controller to be able to walk on the model. I have learnt alot in the last week and I am willing to share my knowledge and explain it to you (possibly we could work on a project!) I know its really difficult finding the right information to learn about all this. Add me on Steam and I have also sent you a PM on here and added you to my friends list.
  4. Ahh awesome thanks Rick I didn't know that. I'll use the project manager from now on
  5. Is there a way to setup your folders so you have all of your current projects files and folders easily accessible in the browser window in Leadwerks? At the moment I am having to go into the MyGame folder then searching through all the folders that were installed and made when I installed Leadwerks. I would like to have my project in its own folder instead of having it mixed in with everything in MyGames folder. Is this possible?
  6. Polymesh doesn't work for my model. When I apply this to the model (which is a simple square tunnel with walls and floor and ceiling) I still fall straight through. However. When I put the FPS Controller ontop of the model I am able to walk on the top of it and can walk away from it on an invisible floor for quiet a good few meters until I go off the edge of that and start to fall. Don't know whats causing this, I made the model in 3D Coat and when I originally brought it into the game engine it was very big in scale so I had to size it down using the FPS Controller as a reference to make my tunnel a good size to fit the FPS Controller inside.
  7. Yeah sure thanks a lot man! Really appreciate it Here is the link for the model: http://snk.to/f-c7hmgm5k When you bring it into the engine you may want to scale it down. I made it in 3D Coat and for some reason everything you make in there ends up really massive in a game engine
  8. I want my FPS Controller to be able to walk along the floor of my model. In the screenshots you can see I have placed the FPS Controller inside the tunnel on the floor of the model. Every time I hit F6 to play and see if everything is looking good, the FPS Controller just falls through the floor of my model
  9. HI Guys, I have an issue with a model I have made in 3D Coat. I have brought it into Leadwerks as a test with no materials or textures just to see its scale and what it looks like in the engine. After messing about with the scale I have managed to scale the model to an appropriate size. I have also brought in the FPS controller from the Prefabs > Player folder. I placed that on the floor of my model and then went into the Physics settings of my model. Below here is two links to screenshots of he Physics settings on the model and also a screen shot of my whole screen so you can see everything (just incase I am missing something simple ).
