crysmist
Hello, I recently started to use Leadwerks Indie Edition, but I've never used lua, or a scripting language (I've only programmed in c++, c#, java), so I need some tutorial that explains the basics, but those who I found are all old. So I was wondering if anyone knew of a tutorial lua updated that works with Leadwerks 3.1 Thanks
Haydenmango
http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/topic/9883-introduction-to-lua-scripting/ Is a good place to start. Also in the tutorial section there may be some other things you could use. http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/forum/89-tutorials/ Quote Check out my game Rogue Snowboarding- https://haydenmango.itch.io/roguesnowboarding
crysmist
I had seen them, but they seem a bit short, I'll try to look better
Haydenmango
Personally I learned the most through looking at documentation examples and examining the scripts that come in the start map. Thirsty Panther
Try this, it's from LUA.org. Covers LUA in detail but is not Leadwerks specific. http://scite-ru.googlecode.com/files/Programming%20in%20Lua%202ed.pdf
gamecreator
You can also hire our local Lua expert http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/topic/9674-1-on-1-training-by-the-hour/
