AggrorJorn
When you purchase on Steam, you have it on all available platforms that are supported. Currently that is only windows. Do note that the Linux version for steam is not ready yet.

Shygorgon
I just recently purchaced Leadwerks on Steam for Ubuntu 14.04. I was wondering if I could transfer that so I can download it from the Ubuntu Software Center.

Sakru
You can just create shortcut on Desktop. If you want to change icon, default Engine icon is in Steam folder. Then you can place shortcut in Steam folder and drag it to your Unity Panel.
