Pixel Perfect
Gets my support if it's fairly easy to do, having to specifically convert models to obj format all adds to the development time. wh1sp3r
yea, how you can make a phy files, when you have only gmf ? (for dynamic bodies) Quote -= Phenom II X4 965 3.4Ghz - ATI HD5870 - 6 GB DDR3 RAM - Windows 8 Pro 64x=- Website: http://www.flamewarestudios.com
macklebee
yea, how you can make a phy files, when you have only gmf ? (for dynamic bodies) why would you only have a model in gmf? nothing out there inherently makes gmf from modeling? though I agree that the tool would be helpful and would cut out the need for saving as OBJ and adding another step to model creation. Canardia
It makes sense in many situations to be able to create a physics hull for gmf models. When you're working on some project, you usually have only the gmf files in your game directory, and want to create phy file only at final stage, when the models are otherwise OK. Usually your editable model formats are in completely different places than your final gmf files, and it's hard to find the right editable model. When you work with different modelling programs or buy models from different places, you might also not have the same editable format available. Then you would need a phy file converter for any random editable file format. It makes also no sense to have to create obj files, if you don't need them for anything else than making phy files. macklebee
Didn't say it would not be useful. Just asking why someone would only have a model in gmf when gmf is not inherently made by any modeling app. Quote Win7 64bit / Intel i7-2600 CPU @ 3.9 GHz / 16 GB DDR3 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 LE / 3DWS / BMX / Hexagon macklebee's channel
Canardia
I have many gmf models which have no editable model format. Gmf models could be also sold for lower price than editable models, if some model seller wants to fine-tune his product range.
