aarrowh
I'm having some trouble with leadwerks on my new laptop.(Surface Pro 3) The engine loads and runs just fine, but when I try and make any changes in C++ and test them out, it asks me to perform a "save as" instead of auto-saving over the file. When I attempt to save under the same name it will not allow me to, giving me an "Access denied error" I've searched on the forum and googled for this and have found nothing, anybody else had this problem? gamecreator
I've only ever had this problem with files when they were either opened on another computer in the network or they were manually set to read-only.
aarrowh
I've managed to fix the issue by opening Visual Studio first(as admin) then opening the project file from there. Weird, but it works, opening the project from the project folder still causes the issue.
monotonic
This is due to permissions required to write within certain directories. I work as a software developer and used to encounter this problem until I started opening VS in admin mode by default. The only other alternative is to store the project in a non-protected directory e.g. my documents, a partition or USB device.
Josh
Yeah, by default Leadwerks stores your projects in Documents/Leadwerks/Projects.
