mrdarkyou86
Hello everyone. I just bought Leadwerks and when I try to laounch it I get this message Failed to initialize graphics. Please ensure your graphics hardware is compatible and install new graphics drivers. I'm really upset about this. I don't know much about graphic cards, but I dream of designing 3D video games, and I thought I would start with Leadwerks. Clearly this is a problem with my graphic card I just ran this command sudo lshw -C video Here is the output description: VGA compatible controller product: 4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller vendor: Intel Corporation physical id: 2 bus info: pci@0000:00:02.0 version: 06 width: 64 bits clock: 33MHz capabilities: msi pm vga_controller bus_master cap_list rom configuration: driver=i915 latency=0 resources: irq:48 memory:f7800000-f7bfffff memory:e0000000-efffffff iopor So is my graphic card that bad? What can I do about this?
DerRidda
Intel integrated graphics do not support OpenGL 4.0 (yet) on Linux. You will need a system with a reasonably modern Nvidia or AMD graphics card.
mrdarkyou86
I see. Ok no problem I'll get a new system next year and in the time being I'll work more on my Lua. Thanks for answering.
