neo5115
So I bought this software on sale ($34) and when I try to launch it I get the error: Failed to initialize graphics. Is there a fix to this? I'm on a laptop so I don't have a dedicated graphics card. Am i now just out $34 or is there a fix? Any help is appreciated. nick.ace
What type of graphics card do you have? What is your OpenGL version?
neo5115
I have an Intel I7 processor, if that helps
nick.ace
I need to know the graphics card though or the OpenGL version since those could be tied to the problem.
neo5115
OpenGL version 4.0...Graphics card is just the Intel HD Graphics 4000. Sad, right
nick.ace
It's probably a driver issue. There tends to be a lot of bugs with AMD and Intel drivers in that some releases work and some don't. I would try a different driver version. http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/forum-2/announcement-3-graphics-drivers-for-leadwerks/ This has info for your specific card, although the URL above would probably work just as well: http://steamcommunity.com/app/251810/discussions/0/613935403958977590/ Also, are you on Linux or Windows? nick.ace
Ok, yeah, then I would try to look at those links. It's probably a driver issue, at those links have places where you can get drivers that are a little older. That card seems to be pretty common as well. nick.ace
No problem. Let me know if it works!
neo5115
Hey, sorry to bother again, but downloaded the drivers from the link you gave me and when I try to run the setup executable, it gives me an error saying that it isn't validated for my computer. Any input?
nick.ace
I'm not sure, maybe because it's not from the official source? You should try the Intel website, that might work better. Just search for the same driver version.
neo5115
Hey nick, I am sorry to report that I still get the validation error no matter what I try. This is very disappointing, but I have just given up at this point.
KaptainKratos
If this was similar to the AMD driver issue we had before, the thing that fixed it for me was I had to uninstall the newest driver and then install the older one. As just installing the old one didn't actually do anything.
Josh
If you have Intel HD 4000 Graphics it will definitely work. I have one in the computer I am using right now, and have been using these chips for a while. They are supported.
