Undoing drag and drop material assignment

Steps:

  1. Create a cube, fit & lock a texture on it
  2. Duplicate the cube
  3. Make all dupes children of a single cube
  4. Drag and drop different materials onto cubes
  5. Now try undoing the material assign operation (ctrl+z)

 

Undo will completely remove any material from the objects (turns them white) and more so will mess up the (locked) UV layout.

This is happening because the undo step tries to apply an entity-level material to the brush, and since none exists it goes blank. I need to add some additional functionality to handle the face materials when this is happening.

My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
