YouGroove
Hi, I imported some good trees from workshop, and i placed them in the level. But running the game they are not visible. Did i miss something perhaps ? And some spice of magic Quote Stop toying and make games
Thirsty Panther
Same problem here. For me its the spools, containers and crates. I wondering if there is a limit to the number of workshop items you can have in a map. I can continue to add my own models but if I try to add workshop items they dont show in game. I havent had time to check this theory yet.
YouGroove
I don't understand really what is going on, that's crazy The models are in the folder and visible, they should be simple models, when placed in the level they should display in game. Or does workshop models have specific hidden rights and features we don't know anything about ? Quote Stop toying and make games
Thirsty Panther
OK. I started a new project (Leadwerks 3.3). Filled it with workshop models with no problems. Then I added 10 tree models of my own. Still no problem. Then i went back to the Workshop and added some more crates. These show in the editor but not in the game! More interestingly if you start another map under the same project, no workshop items will show in game. You get a "failed to Load Model/Prefab" error. Slastraf
have same problem here, as soon as i add crates. HOW TO FIX: use the .mdl and attach the texture manually, then it will work. physics shape need to be attached
zippymccrackin
I fixed this by looking at the errors in console, it said it couldn't find the files in models/The Zone/props/crates or whatever, so I just copy/pasted all the files into that directory, bing bang boom everything working now
Josh
It looks like these items use a different path than how they are uploaded on the Workshop. This is one of the reasons I changed the system to allow any file path in the zip structure. I can improve the file search system during loading, but until then the author of each pack will need to re-publish them in the correct paths. Josh
I believe you can also just open each prefab file in the editor, resave it, and the paths will get fixed. YouGroove
Some models independent on path should be great, and have the workshop just drop them in the workshop folder. Quote Stop toying and make games
