Josh
well, i am experimenting with just using renderworld() at the moment and its not too bad... just need to get the other framework cameras set to the cctv camera... just unfortunately do not get the nice framework effects on the screen as well... I don't think anyone will notice. In fact, I recommend disabling shadows when you render the CCTV image. I'm surprised it wasn't designed this way from the beginning. gordonramp
I get this from certain distances in my test animation scene. Don't remember it being in the previous version. Correction.. I just went back and tested it in 2.3 and it's there also. Quote AMD Athlon x2 7750 2.7ghz, 6gb ddr2 ram, Galaxy9800GT 1gig ddr2 video card, Windows 7,64. Josh
It was looked at ... and looked 100% **** to be blunt. I can hardly see the screen in your video, because it looks like it has been lightened somehow. I think you should add a layer of a randomly positioned noise texture over the screen (in a shader) and post a video. Sometimes it's easy to be too critical of something when you are working so hard on it, and you notice things other people wouldn't even think about. MasteR
Just figured out how to update the engine to 2.31 (perhaps the steps involved should be advertised). I instantly noticed a drop of 20 fps, in the editor and my program. Simply loading the "tunnels.sbx" in both cases, no alterations have been made. Is this to be expected? I thought the lighting optimizations would have the opposite effect. Any ideas?
