Seraphim
Hello all, Always wanted to get into coding again, and this might be what I needed. However, before I purchase, does anyone have an idea if it would be possible to create a game in RTS style (seen it was possible I think) with a persistent unit group that you could alter between missions, similar to the excellent Mech Commander and Mech Commander 2? I'm talking about changing the weapons, etc. Doesn't have to be like in MC, for example hardpoint use would be sufficient - but mostly preserve a persistent group of units (and even more sweet: have a max tactical points cap and then be forced to choose which units you use in the coming battle)? Also... is there like a basic rpg functionality? Thanks
Josh
This is definitely possible, but will take some custom Lua scripting. And you will need a nice mech model. The tutorials here explain how Lua works: http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/page/tutorials/ The marble game shows how to create a third-person camera.
