Josh Posted September 5, 2015 Share Posted September 5, 2015 I think what's happening there is the screen normal is mostly pointing towards an axis other than "up" so the texture mapping changes to a different axis. The default decal shader projects the decal in all directions using the screen normal, so you don't have to worry about rotating it to face the right direction. This might or might not be a great design choice. My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
