Haydenmango
Terrain on Low Settings looks extremely blurry after the beta update. The terrain on low settings wasn't this blurry before the beta update. Josh
It was actually not working right before. Now it is working correctly. It only uses one global texture to cover the terrain, so there is no clipmap rendering and it will go faster. xtom
When I try setting terrain res to low it makes the terrain invisible in textured perspective view. Check out my games: One More Day / Halloween Pumpkin Run
Josh
Do you have current shaders? Also, I know that you have an AMD card. My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
xtom
Yes AMD indeed. I updated the project and made a new project from scratch to be sure. Check out my games: One More Day / Halloween Pumpkin Run

xtom
Oh sorry, still invisible. In the editor I can see the terrain in wireframe and solid but not when rendering with textures. Only invisible if set to low resolution, medium and high settings display the terrain textured. Josh
Does the shader "Shaders\Terrain\terrain_lowres.shader" compile without errors? Haydenmango
It was actually not working right before. Now it is working correctly. It only uses one global texture to cover the terrain, so there is no clipmap rendering and it will go faster. Hmm.. that's unfortunate. The terrain on low settings didn't look good but it was playable (and increased my fps) before but now I can't see it being used for anything. Oh well, I guess this isn't a bug then. xtom
Does the shader "Shaders\Terrain\terrain_lowres.shader" compile without errors? It says "Failed to link shader." after it - not sure what that means but I checked that the file exists and it does. Josh
Not sure yet. I do want this for reflection renders, but I might add a "very high" quality setting and shift everything up by one so the old "low quality" would now be "medium". xtom
Low res terrain is now showing for me in the editor with Textured+Lighting but still invisible with Textured only rendering. Also when I run the game it doesn't look low res/blurry like in the editor, it's much sharper and seems to be displaying at medium or high res.
