Shard
So our game, "Zero Hour" just went into pre-alpha and we're giving it to a few friends to test on their pc's. One of them had a problem being able to run it at all. He ended up just getting a blank grey screen but when I run the same project folder everything run just fine. This leads me to believe that I need to have him install other things onto his computer in order to be able to run it but I don't know what these files need to be. Has anyone ever packaged a Leadwerks Project for installation? Canardia
Check for errors in the engine.log. LCP1 has also an installer, you can download it and see how it's done there, and what folders and files it needs. tkunze
I had the same on a PC with ATI card and Catalyst Driver 9.10. Updating the driver solved the issue.
Naughty Alien
..latest drivers on nVidia causing Bloom frag shader falling and doesnt compile..in case your game using it, it may be the issue if newest drivers were installed..i have had discussion about it here http://leadwerks.com/werkspace/index.php?/topic/1370-drivers-issue/
Kazar
Might be slightly off-topic here but I tested today my pre-pre-pre-alpha of a game on a friend's computer and his Norton anti-virus said my exe "was suspicious" and decided to quarantine it. I uploaded the file on a website that checks files with around 40 different scanners and not one of them (inluding norton) found anything. Azkanan
Anti-Virus' often accidently recognise safe programs as virus'. This is why I don't have Anti-Virus' installed on my PC. It's a tactic against the less computer-savvy people, making them believe every corner of the internet is a threat - that or it really is an accident... Yet I run into an actually dangerous virus every few months, contrary to what people will have you believe, the internet is a pretty safe place if you're careful enough. Canardia
Just use ClamWin, it doesn't take any CPU load and detects all viruses correctly. It's also the standard on all Linux machines, where it's called ClamAV. 1 Quote ■ Ryzen 9 ■ RX 6800M ■ 16GB ■ XF8 ■ Windows 11 ■ ■ Ultra ■ LE 2.5 ■ 3DWS 5.6 ■ Reaper ■ C/C++ ■ C# ■ Fortran 2008 ■ Story ■ ■ Homepage: https://canardia.com ■
