MrFelix
Hello! I'm new in leadwerks, and for now I'm trying the demo edition. I follow the tutorial and I had a problem with the "Models and Animation'' topic. I have downloaded the Zip file ''Models tutorial'' and, from this file (unzipped, of course) I can import textures and matérials, but I can't do it for the .FBX files. I try severals times, I try to re-download the file, I re-install leadwerks, but, each time I got a message who says: ''Failed to load model.. etc.'' (see the screenshot) I also try to import other simple .FBX models I made on Blender. Same result. Thanks for help! Félix
cassius
if you place your models in models folder and then run the editor. Click on Assets/models and you sjould see your model converted to Leadwerks "mdl" format. Also there is an mdl format plugin for Blender. Einlander
Do you know what version fbx you at trying to load?
MrFelix
I don't know what fbx version I try to load. but I used the models provied in the tutorial. Cassius advice does not work either: a red text line says that the files failed to be loaded. I installed the program on my son's laptop, and it works perfectly. cassius
I just imported the blender default cube as an fbx and it worked fine. Strange. Maybe the demo version has problems.
