MadCat
Hi I have noticed that the more lights you have in a scene the lower the FPS go 1. Why? 2. is there a way you improve this?
cassius
point lights have to be rendered several times and are expensive. I think spotlights are more economical, but not sure. MadCat
not shore on that one myself the only thing is I need lots of Point of Lights (a line of lights) unless there's another way of getting the same effect with less or one light? Josh
What really drops framerate is shadows redrawing. If you have a bunch of pointlights in a line, it will probably kill the framerate. However, in a lot of situations like that you can disable shadows on those lights, because they probably have a small radius anyways and will look better that way.
