JacobDB
I just downloaded the Leadwerks Game Engine yesterday because I was interested in learning about 3d design and coding. I was making my way through the tutorials and when it came to painting vegetation, I click on the terrain and nothing shows up. I selected the pine01 layer from the models category but when I left-click on the terrain and drag, nothing shows up. Anybody else experience this problem or just me? I would like a fix if there is one so I can continue learning.
Josh
You created a vegetation layer for the pine tree, right? Maybe you are too far away and the trees are being culled with distance? JacobDB
Yes I did, no matter how far I zoom in or out, no trees are visible.
Josh
I also have a problem on Intel graphics. A new update came out yesterday, and it may have a problem. --Edit No, I just reverted to the previous build, and the error still exists. Perhaps this is with Intel's latest driver. Anyone having problems on any other hardware? Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without. Josh
I've tracked down an OpenGL error, so that is a good sign. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
Josh
I'm running the current source code, and when the walking sim game package is loaded, it doesn't crash, but it does crash without it. Has nothing to do with the map file or shaders. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without. JacobDB
I went back on this morning and I found another problem. To test out levels I need a FPS controller player but there is no "player" model anywhere in the files. I have all the scripts for it but there is no physical version of the player. It also does not tell me how to make one on my own so I'm trying to figure it out on my own. Just would like to know if that is another bug with intel. Josh
Please do not mix bug reports. It makes it impossible to keep track of things. If there is a separate issue post it in a separate thread. I noticed in my project the pine tree was missing its material files. I think this was caused by installing and then uninstalling the nature pack DLC, which contained some duplicate material and texture files, and that removed the files upon uninstall. Only the FPS template contains the first-person player prefab, so if you created a "blank" project you won't have that model and prefab. JacobDB
I apologize for adding to this post, my bad, I was thinking I should have started another thread. So the missing tree files was resolved?
Josh
If you reinstall the nature pack DLC, does it work? Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
