shadmar
Hi We have day and night cycle going in our game, and when the sun is getting really low, the shadows covers vast areas massivly increasing batch count and polycount and we get a huge amount of fps drop, 50% Is there a way to set shadow-range on low angles? Turning shadows off on low sunset/rise is very intrusive visually. Here you can see the difference on middle of the day, and just before the sun sets. Same scene, but light angle is different: 1 Quote HP Omen - 16GB - i7 - Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB
Josh
I've dealt with this by setting the lowest sun angle to maybe 10 or 15 and then fading the sun out past that, instead of lowering it. We don't see this quite the same in real life because of the curvature of the earth. 1 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
