jasailor
A quick newbie question. I have a FPS character that immediately falls through the floor of the Appartment Floor Model from the High Rise asset from the WorkShop. The Floor Stair model doesn't have the issue. I checked the physics parameters and they are exactly the same between the two so I must have something not set right. Could use some guidance. Josh
Open model in model editor and generate collision shape:https://www.leadwerks.com/learn?page=Tutorials_Editor_Models-and-Animation Polymesh option is probably best. jasailor
Thanks for the quick answer. I've been in IT for 30+ years and a CIO for 15 and have seen hundreds of systems and tools. A few months ago I decided to fool around with gaming as a hobby. To decide which environement that I could be the most productive quickly, I checked many of the major game engines. These included the one starting with a U, one that is a Guru, one that Cries and the one that Werks. Many of these are either too complicated, lacking graphics quality, have nebulus or lacking documentation, many require way too many hours of hunting for definitions of parameters and one although looking easy, uses provides Lua scipting that is poorly written and lacks any level of comments. I must say that LeadWerks was a pleasent surprise and stands out as the best blend of flexibility, quality graphics, good documentation, and work flow eligance. I been playing with it for about a month and aside from needing a little more detail in the documentation for us evening hobbiest it will be my choice going forward. Congratulations on a great environment!
