Dio Brando
I've had Leadwerks for a long time but have never been able to make anything with it. So I was wondering what would be a simple game genre to recreate to get used to using the engine and LUA?
tipforeveryone
my suggestion is a "Room Escape" genre - simple logic, pick this to open that etc 1
Rick
I agree with tip. I always thought escape room would be good. From a programming perspective it's easy (just tedious setting things up). However it requires a fair amount of art.

Thirsty Panther
I recommend a FPS game. Leadwerks comes with scripts for the player and the enemies all you really have to do is make the maps. You have the terrain editor to make the ground/ hills/ trees and csg brushes to make buildings etc.
Dio Brando
20 hours ago, gamecreator said: What stopped you from making something with it? for me it was a mix of time and the fact that I know next to nothing about programming properly (the most experience I have is with game maker and doom modding). For an amateur/newbie programmer like me i was never able to piece together the different snippets of code I found
cassius
All the advice given above is true but to go further you will have to learn SOME programming.
