techemaster22
Hey I was wondering if anyone knows if leadwerks will be supporting stand-alone VR headset in the future like the Oculus quest or the Google VR solo head set plus will it support mobile game development or no? Yue
About mobile games, leadwerks 4.x is only for computers, however the new engine that works Josh, using the Vulkan Api, possibly if it supports mobile games.

#code
You can use, for example, Riftcat to emulating HTC Vive. https://riftcat.com/vridge. It's support daydream and gear controller. And you can emulate controllers, use app from google play.
Yue
This really pleases me a lot, I thought I would never have an expensive device like that, but it turns out I can have a very cheap one. Thank you very much. And that's in Spanish, it's great for virtual reality.
Josh
We don't do mobile development. The new engine could maybe in the future, but I have a very negative experience with mobile and these mobile VR headsets are awful. 1 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without. Josh
Vulkan does eliminate a lot of problems with mobile support. 3 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
qcrocknet
So UltraEngine will not be supporting natively Quest 1 and Quest 2 (without a link cable) ? As you know Quest headsets are extremely popular (I do have both editions) If Quest is not supported in the upcoming major update of Leadwerks, I might have to rethink my strategy for my project. I wanted an affordable\practical\portable way to supply a headset with my VR application. Thank you.
Josh
The Quest 2 honestly does change things a bit. I have not tried one myself but I am hearing it is not bad. I don't have an exact timeline on this but if VR is our top priority support for the newer mobile VR headsets is also a priority. You may notice I have been doing a lot of Linux work lately, and Android is Linux. 1 Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
