EvilxFish
Hi, I am running arch linux, when I try launch the game from steam I see the attached very briefly before it crashes. I tried running it from the terminal got this error. Leadwerks: error while loading shared libraries: libsteam_api.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Copied and pasted libsteam_api.so error persisted (not sure what path it is looking for). Tried uncomenting and running the .sh file after copying the appropriate steam_appid.txt file. Got the following: Setting breakpad minidump AppID = 480 Steam_SetMinidumpSteamID: Caching Steam ID: 765611980296***** [API loaded no] (note: end of number removed) Segmentation fault (core dumped) Tried running the .exe with wine error was "cannot initialize program start with steam". Have tried the verify integrity thing as well, no luck. I have also run $ export GTK_PATH=:/usr/lib/gtk-2.0 as suggested elsewhere, no effect. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you and kind regards Ismaeel
aiaf
Hi, Just Ubuntu is officially supported, but i think it works on arch also. Its just a matter to have all the libraries installed. Look here and find all the equivalent libs in arch and install them: Regards Quote I made this with Leadwerks/UAK: Structura | Stacky Desktop Edition Website: Binary Station
EvilxFish
Hi, Thank you @aiaf for your response, I have everything mentioned in that post installed (the arch linux equivalents) I upgraded them to the latest version and tried redownloading leadwerks as well for good measure. The same issue persists.
geldoronie
Hey @EvilxFish maybe as workaround this problem you can use the IDE in pronton on Steam: 1. Enable Proton by SteamPlay on Settings: 2. Go to the SteamPlay tab 3. Enable Steam Play for all other titles in Advanced 4. Go in OK, and now in your game list go to Leadwerks in the right click select Properties 5. In General tab go to Force the use of a especific Steam Play compatibility tool And you now are good to go and open the Leadwerks in Proton, there's no Guaranty to works but in the most cases with some bugs works as you can see above Hope be helpful,
