jockmacmad Posted July 22, 2010 Share Posted July 22, 2010 Hi I am trying to link a program with Eclipse + CDT + MinGW. The compile and .o files are all fine but the link to the .dll is not working. As there are no .a or .lib files with the DLLs shipped is there something I need to do to enable linking? Many Thanks Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Canardia Posted July 22, 2010 Share Posted July 22, 2010 DLLs can be linked implicit or explicit, and LE is using explicit linking. So you need to use the engine.h and engine.cpp file and use the Initialize() command to load the DLL. jockmacmad Posted July 23, 2010 Author Share Posted July 23, 2010 My EXE will not build though as it has unlinked references from the .o files to LE objects. Now I am using leo.h and leo.cpp rather than the engine files but I assumed the leo files were enough. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Canardia Posted July 23, 2010 Share Posted July 23, 2010 With leo you still need engine.cpp. Quote ■ Ryzen 9 ■ RX 6800M ■ 16GB ■ XF8 ■ Windows 11 ■ ■ Ultra ■ LE 2.5 ■ 3DWS 5.6 ■ Reaper ■ C/C++ ■ C# ■ Fortran 2008 ■ Story ■ ■ Homepage: https://canardia.com ■ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Laurens Posted July 23, 2010 Share Posted July 23, 2010 What Lumooja said, add both engine.cpp and leo.cpp to your project. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
