searlesama
I'm a beginner at model design and level creating so I picked up 3DWS to learn. I only have blender as a means to create any models. The issue I'm having is that models I create and import as .X files will not take a texture. I have even tried to export to a .3ds file then use the included convertmodel.exe to convert them to the .smf file type. When I import the .smf file even that model will not take a texture. What could I be missing? Do I need to do anything special to my model to allow it to take a texture? I am starting to get a bit frustrated. Josh
Can you post your model file please so we can try it ourselves? Thanks. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
searlesama
Okay I was able to figure the issue out, and it was related to Blender, not 3DWS. Basically, I did not have the the UVtexture layer turned on in the mesh menu. Thanks for the attempt to help. I'll be on here more I'm sure with other questions.
