VeTaL
In shooting i understand about decals: when player shoots in terrain or static objects, decals good solution. But what about shooting in non-static objects (like doors) and animated characters? Looking like multi-texturing is best choice? Then, how can i do this in leadwerks, is shader already done? (i searched through new and old forums - find almost nothing about this) Quote Working on LeaFAQ
Canardia
Decals work also on mobile objects, in the Wiki it says you should parent them to the face. VeTaL
Hm... so, if i hit at enemy sileder's hand... and place and parent decal... decal should move with hand while enemy would be animated? Great parent them to the face. Didnt note this from first reading.. and what if decal is too large? would it "spread" over the hand? or in this case i may make them little? Canardia
Yes, but then again decals are only 2D. I think I would use 3D decals anyway. At least my 3D particle rain works fine, so 3D decals should be much less FPS intensive. VeTaL
I think I would use 3D decals anyway. Wouldnt it be better to use multitexturing, and then just add second texture with blood on the first one with alpha-channel?
