Canardia
Nice music, and I am very critical towards music since it's my life, and I got gnostic experiences via music too. The foggy road is damn nice too, I hope you can keep up this feeling throughout the game. The GUI click sound seems to be made via beatbox? AggrorJorn
Thank you for the comment Lumooja. yes the GUIclick is a cheap self made beatbox. it is not the final sound though. The music exists out of a piano solo, a rain effect and some wind.
Laurens
I like how the godray effect works on the title. Combined with the rain and the fog it sets a pretty dramatic tone. Very nice video Cheers!

Pixel Perfect
Beautifully put together and looking very professional. Love the atmosphere and subtle use of music. The mist is very well done as is the level design and the menu system. Top class! Will look forward to seeing more of this. AggrorJorn
Thanks for the comments everyone. The youtube movie is a bit messed up but you can download the mp4 file to watch it in a better resolution: http://daydreamersinteractive.com/Road/ Here is a concept we made in 5 minutes to reference what we wanted to achieve:
VeTaL
Fog particles inside the road doesnt looking good, i think. I saw somewhere, probably in Torque, culling of particles that are participial visible, its looking much more better Quote Working on LeaFAQ
Canardia
I have made 2 3D particle classes for the next version of gamelib: physics particles (bit slow, but good for upstreams (like smoke hitting a ceiling)) and raycast particles (fast, but only good for downstreams (like rain hitting a ceiling)). Josh
I like how the figure isn't noticeable immediately, then it kind of scares you. It's like the original Alan Wake game that never got released. Is the soundtrack available anywhere? Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without. Roland
Absolutely awesome. This looks like a game that i definitely would not miss. I hope the game will be as good as this start scene, keeping the strange feeling of coming disaster of some kind, keeping it clean from silly looking monster running around or meaningless shooting on everyone that moves in front. This start is so fascinating. And I would not add one extra bit to that piano during this intro. That single piano makes this scene just what it is... strange and a bit worrying of what to come. Adding more to that tune can't make it better. Great job and thanks sharing ... I got really inspired. AggrorJorn
- Piano music made by Nick Tomassetti. http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/304078 thanks again for the kind words. Its funny to see how people experience the menu. How many of you didn't notice the guy and the end of the road right away? @Roland: this game is more focussed on what makes people feel scared or uncomfortable then actual gameplay like shooting. Puzzles, a continues event driven story and environment is what we are going for. This is easier because things like AI, complex weapons are not needed. but there are enough challenges left to spend quite some time on. Al I can say is that if you 'feel' the eerie atmosphere in the main menu allready, then you are going to love the game it self.
