Josh
File Name: Scripted GUI File Submitter: Josh File Submitted: 06 Dec 2009 File Category: Lua Scripts Here's a GUI system with support for windows, panels, drop down boxes, buttons, sliders, labels, and checkboxes. It could still use some improvement, but it's pretty functional and provides a good base to work with. Flexman
Just copy the GUI folder into Scripts, load up the Leadwerks Editor and from the Script Editor load the GUITEST.LUA program. Run. It's quite pretty, could be very useful. Scott Richmond
Ah fantastic! Thanks for your efforts Josh, I'm sure this'll be an invaluable resource for many of us. Uh oh, this script crashes my editor. macklebee
Ah fantastic! Thanks for your efforts Josh, I'm sure this'll be an invaluable resource for many of us. Uh oh, this script crashes my editor. You didn't hit escape to exit out of the GUI script before trying to run another script. Also, to get rid of the constant loading of the arrow_down.dds texture, change your combobox.lua to this. Scott Richmond
Ah, two birds with one stone Macklebee, impressive (Or just average as compared to my stupidity ). Thanks a lot. Davaris
I can't get this to work at all. I've tried running guitest.lua and guitestnew.lua in their Scripts/GUI directory and it says it can't load the textures because the path to the .dds files are not found. gordonramp
Yes, a lot of fundamental changes were made to LE.2.3 after this was posted. It seems to be broken. Davaris
Would that affect its ability to find texture files? Quote Win 7 Pro 64 bit AMD Phenom II X3 720 2.8GHz GeForce 9800 GTX/9800 GTX+ 4 GB RAM
gordonramp
Well I tried the abstract:: route but that didn't help so I think it is something more fundamental. Davaris
I was using abstract as well. Depending on which directory I started it in (the one with engine.exe or GUI scripts home directory) it would say it couldn't find the paths for all 5 dds files or it would not be able to find paths for the first 4 files and then for the 5th it found the path but couldn't load the dds.
