Tristan B
Hello all! Just got back to using 3DWS for a new project, and still love it! I'm just wondering, is 3DWS still being worked on by Leadwerks? It would be a massive shame if it wasn't, as there's so much potential for it (in my opinion!) I'm using it for individual buildings, and am currently working on a 14th Century palace. I'd forgotten how easy it was to use, to be honest. Even after 2 years since last using it, was able to use it like it had only been yesterday! Anyway, I'd love to know whats going on with this, as I did read a similar thread in the Requests forum, but that was nearly 2 years ago, so would like to know if there have been any developments on the subject (or 3DWS for that matter!) Cheers Tristan
Canardia
Leadwerks Engine 3's Editor will be the next 3DWS, amongst other things. This will give more features to 3DWS users, as well as Leadwerks Engine users. Josh
3d world studio 6 will share a lot of code with the leadwerks engine 3 editor. It's in development. Tristan B
Ok, but will 3DWS still be a standalone application? It's just that I'm pretty loathe to buy the whole Leadwerks Engine with the view of only using the 3DWS element.
Canardia
Yeah, like Josh just said - which was news to me too - there will be a seperate 3DWS 6, which obviously uses the same codebase as Leadwerks Engine 3 Editor. That's a cool idea, since it will be probably cheaper than Leadwerks Engine 3. Tristan B
Sounds good to me! I like the idea of a standalone application (personally). So Josh, any details on release, price etc?

Eagle
PS: I'm guessing that this will mean that 3DWS models will move right into the LW engine with no adjustments needed? Always~ Vickie
