Fox W. Mulder
Hi, after some basic testing yestertay I want to test the workflow with the art workstations (also trail versions) and this engine, sadly there is no mesh converter with the demo toolset - is there a way to provide a demo converter (lets say limited by 30 days of use or 100 conversions). My goal is to finish a small level in the 30 days of the demo use (for the engine 29 days left). Quote I want to believe.
Roland
If you have UU3D there is a converter to Leadwerks GMF format Quote Roland Strålberg Website: https://rstralberg.com
Fox W. Mulder
I have it but also in the demo version, so the same problem. Quote I want to believe.
Fox W. Mulder
So I have no chance to try the workflow and the feeling with the Art pipeline? Comon, there should be a tool for the demo to try things out. pls. Quote I want to believe.
Laurens
We are not allowed to distribute the tools that come with the SDK. You are probably best of contacting Josh about this.
Fox W. Mulder
I read about it and agree with it to prevent torrent copys, but it is easy to rewrite the tools to limit its access for lets say 30 days. Hope you understand my point of view. Quote I want to believe.
Richard Simpson
That is a flaw with the demo version not being able to test out the pipeline. I would suggest this to Josh now as I think he is releasing an updated demo soon. Quote Intel core 2 quad 6600 | Nvidia Geforce GTX460 1GB | 2GB DDR2 Ram | Windows 7. Marleys Ghost
actually the flaw is not being able to make 30 day trials that can be used by an individual only for 30 days .... Mumbles
The problem is that some dishonest individuals reset their trials, meaning that they never have to buy the software, and it's almost impossible to prevent. What about 30 conversions per trail. This should be possible. Quote I want to believe.
Marleys Ghost
Thats just a variation on a theme with the same outcome and pitfuls. The only way to truly cripple functionality is to not have it present at all. Rekindled Phoenix
If you use Blender (which can export to almost any format besides GMF), you have the ability to convert your models through any of the included converters. Blender -> FBX -> GMF Blender -> OBJ -> GMF etc....
Laurens
Yeah but his problem is that the converters are not in the evaluation version

Josh
There's a new evaluation kit coming this summer that will allow you to try more functionality out. We're waiting right now for ATI to fix a bug in their drivers. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
