Michael Betke
A quick and not eadwerks related in first place but Unwrap3d. Everytime I export my model to .gmf I get a smoothing group applied all over my mesh. In 3ds max I have a smoothing wit Zero. But as soon as I import it into UU3D I get this 90° smoothing everywhere. And also in my .gmf later. Can I change it somewhere in UU3D? I wasn't able to find a function there. Marleys Ghost
Try under 3D Tools --> AutoSmooth Faces ---> check Face normal .. click ok. (need to select the mesh first for the AutoSmooth Faces to become active). See if that helps. Road Kill Kenny
I don't use 3DsMax any more. However, I found with Blender that if I export into UU3D via fbx I loose all my smoothing groups. However, it seems to work fine when I export via .obj. I know its a different 3D package but you never know, its worth a try. Michael Betke
For some reasons my model imported well into UU3D but the export to .gmf doesnt work properly because some polygones are scattered and stretched several meters over the scene. Only .ase import to UU3D and then to .gmf works fine without face errors. I use two UV-Sets and .obj doesnt support it I think? Today I will try your recommendation with the Autosmooth faces.
