AndyMK
Hi all, I downloaded a hi rez Sci-Fi texture pack that came with bump and normal maps. I am using Sketchup to model which i am also new to. I am using bits from a texture to make a model. How would i apply the same bits of the normal map? Does sketchup even allow me to use a normal map alongside the texture? I know this probably belongs in a sketchup forum but i thought i would give it a shot. Matthew Nicholls
Do you need to use the normal map in sketchup? If you are wanting to use it in Leadwerks once made you can just add the normal map to the material file.
AndyMK
I don't need the normal map in sketchup. The image above shows the model on the left and the texture i used on the right. How will it know what bits of the normal map to use on the textures mapped to the model? Maybe i am missing something, if i add the normal to the material, will it use the same UV's for the normal map?
Matthew Nicholls
Yes the normal map uses the same UVs as the diffuse texture.
