Benton
Ok, so I followed the "Shared LE Setup" wiki tutorial. So now I got a C:/le/media/models folder with models. The models here are models that I want available to all my projects. So my project folder has project models, and the C:/le/media/models has stuff like lights. Anyway, a lua rotating cube runs fine, so the paths are working. However, I am confused about what to do about the editor. I want to have both the models in C:/le/media/models and the ones in my project directory available in the editor. So where do I put the editor exe? If I put it in my project directory, it will not open because the engine files are not with it. If I put it in C:/le it will not find my project folder models. What do I do to get both the models in C/:le/media/models and my project folder models in the editor? ParaToxic
There is no direct way to do that , because the Editor looks for Models in the path of itself
Benton
So I should forget about a shared le setup? Rick
I recently just said screw this shared project idea and copy everything I need for an individual project (editor, engine, the models, materials, etc) to it's own project folder. So basically I have 3 different Le installs each one being specific to it's own project.
Benton
So should I just copy everything from C:/Leadwerks Engine SDK/ into my project folder? That way everything is there, C++, Lua, light models...? Rick
Give it a try and see how you like it. If you don't need every model/material/etc then don't copy those over. I personally have just found it easier to work like that.
