Masterxilo
Is there any way to get nice bending (like the bend modifier) when using bones and skinning (in 3ds max)? (without increasing the amount of bones) Right now, with the default envelope/weights setup, I get that ugly crease and loss of volume as you can see in the above picture. omid3098
I will ask this from our animator, if you are not in hurry. He will come to work tomorrow. (15 hours later) it should be because of your skining.. Edit- you should do as this: USING THE SKIN MODIFIER please let me know if you could solve your problem. thanks.. ArBuZ
Actually, you can't export any additional data of skinning to gmf file except vertex weights. LE doesnt support it. So the only way I see is adjusting the vertex weights and limbs topology to achieve maximum good result. omid3098
we could not get any success yet! there should be a way to plot these information to bones, the only other way our animator told me was as you said, Alex. Masterxilo
Now that's bad to hear. Well thanks anyways, I'll have to go and optimize my mesh and the vertex weights. Thanks for the link, wailingmonkey, it'll help doing so for sure. Quote Hurricane-Eye Entertainment - Site, blog.
