ChrisV
If I may put in a request, really gloomy and smoggy dark sky-something that belongs in a post apocalyptic environment. Sure, no problem. I'll have a go at making such a sky. are they gonna be free? Pretty please with a cherry on top! Yes, I'm going to make a few free ones, and maybe also do a few skypacks for a small price. K guys, here's the first FREE skybox I've just finished creating. You may use it for free in your games, but I'd appreciate a credit (my full name is Chris Van Wijmeersch) in your game. Thanks. And here are a few screens of the skybox ingame. It's a sunny skybox with cumulus clouds. Hope you like it. Cheers. NiceSky.zip Quote My Artwork. ChrisV
I appreciate it, guys. Thanks. To spread them more you can upload them to the asset store. Good idea, Aggror. Just wondering where I should put it. In 'Materials', or 'Models'. Also, in the 'Models' section, there's no section for skyboxes. Maybe I should put it in 'Nature' then? Or, is it possible to make new sections? Next skybox will follow soon. Quote My Artwork. ChrisV
Sorry for the double post, but just want to let you all know that I've just done another skybox. This one is more cloudy than the previous one (no sun). A variety of moods is possible with this one, by adjusting the settings of your ambient/directionnal lights and fog. Could be used for apocalyptic/dessert moods, or also normal or overcast skies. Both skyboxes are now available for download in the 'Models' (Nature) section in the Asset Store. Here's how the skybox can look with a few tweaks to the ambient light and atmosphere settings. Cheers. Quote My Artwork. DaDonik
I would recommend to use Vue d'Esprit. http://www.e-onsoftw..._esprit/?page=0 There are versions which are affordable (same price as LE) and you can make amazing skyboxes with it. I will make a skybox package sometime next week, when i have the time =) Edited April 22, 2012 by DaDonik Quote (Win7 64bit) && (i7 3770K @ 3,5ghz) && (16gb DDR3 @ 1600mhz) && (Geforce660TI)

ChrisV
Mine were done in Bryce 7 Pro. Which is affordable too. But, if you hurry, you can still get the Pro version for free HERE. Vue is indeed a great program. Used the demo for quite some time. Never bought it, though. I'm also working on a program to render realtime clouds/atmospheres. So far, I already have the clouds working. Next skybox will probably be one with a distant planet in the background. Quote My Artwork. Hugues
When I choose this skybox in the editor, it goes all psychedelic when I move the view around (random colours filling the sky) and I do not see the skybox.
macklebee
which one? in any case the skyboxes that chrisv posted here and the asset store all work for me... perhaps you need to update your graphics driver? or exit and restart the editor... http://www.leadwerks.com/werkspace/files/category/23-nature/ Quote Win7 64bit / Intel i7-2600 CPU @ 3.9 GHz / 16 GB DDR3 / NVIDIA GeForce GTX 590 LE / 3DWS / BMX / Hexagon macklebee's channel

ChrisV
Hey all, It's been a while since I last uploaded a new skybox to the asset store, so time for a new one, aye? This one is very suitable for lots of daytime variations. A few low hanging clouds, sun with flare, and a rainbow. Here's one side of the skybox: And some ingame screens, with various atmospheric changes (ambience, lighting, etc...) to show you what kinda moods can be created with this skybox: Hope you'll like it.
