Benton
Hey guys, How do you go about making a material shiny and reflective, so it reflects the enviroment around the model? Not quite like a mirror, more like a really glossy car... I have no clue how to do this Thanks, Benton Quote Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, 16 gigs ram, 3.30GHz Quad Core, GeForce GTX 460 one gig, Leadwerks 2.5, Blender 2.62, Photoshop CS3, UU3D

LordHippo
Use a low-res cubemap to get the glossy look. LordHippo
What about realtime? Cubemaps can be rendered in realtime. I remember someone posted a sample about it. As I've mentioned, you need a low-res cubemap to get a glossy look. So just simply render a low-res cubemap, something like 32*32 and assign to your glossy mat.
