rrf
Again, I'm really, really new at both using Leadwerks and at using a Forum, I'm probably going to have lots and lots of questions. I hope I'm posting these questions in the right place. I'm thinking about getting 3dWS to do some of my modeling for Leadwerks, but, in one place, I read that 3DWS exports to Leadwerks (and I quote) "calculate lightmaps and export for Leadwerks Engine", but can't find Leadwerks model extension listed under File Formats....I also read something about the upcoming Leadwerks 3D - should I wait a bit before jumping into 3DWS? Thanks, rrf
cassius
There is a special version of 3dws for Le users you can get after you have purchased the original version. It has export to le gmf format and I think it is version 5.6. Or you can use the 3dw2gmf converter in the tools folder. DigitalHax
No you just need to go into export instead of save and it has gmf... I have 3dws and I use it a lot. It is great for architecture. A vertex will not always necessarily line up on a grid, if you rotate the object. Rotation occurs around the center, and if the dimensions on one axis are an odd number, the resulting vertices will be halfway between the grid lines. You can change the grid size with the [ and ] keys. Nice buildings, BTW. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
