kirkkaf
Hi everyone, I have been programming with Lua well over a year now and really enjoy the language. I am looking to get into game programming with Lua which is why I have come across the Leadwerks engine. Is there a release date planned for LW3 and should I wait before purchasing the current version? Thank you, Kirk.
AggrorJorn
There is no release date planned. Development is in the final stages but it is uncertain how long it takes before its finished. Purchasing the current engine (LE2) enables you to purchase a LE3 license with a reduction. The total of a Leadwerks 2 and Leadwerks 3 license will be cheaper than when you only purchase LE3. kirkkaf
Thank you for the quick response, therefore there is no reason for me to wait if it works out cheaper to purchase the current version. I spend alot of my time using linux, has anyone managed to run this engine within linux? (I run Windows aswell so I am still thinking about purchasing)
cassius
le2 needs a good graphics card. If you are ok in that respect then its worth going ahead and purchasing le2.
