Hey i'm new to the leadwerks Engine and i wanted to ask a few Quesions?

1: Can you just use C++ for Leadwerks 2.5 & 3 once it comes out?, because i only know that Language.

2: Once i buy Leadwerks 2.5, do i need to buy Leadwerks 3?

3: Can i use Microsoft C++ 2010 with the Leadwerks Engine?

4: Is there more Features on the full Version than the Trial?

5: Is the Full Version only 137.85MB? like the Trial?

Thank you for your help guys. :)

1) Yes.

2) No, only upgrade. LE2.5+upgrade to LE3 is cheaper than LE3.

3) Yes (all C/C++ compilers work with LE2.5, as well as all other languages which can load a dll).

4) Yes, if you count the community made add-ons as features (new advanced shaders, day/night modules, 3D models, etc...).

5) Yes and No, essentially it is the same size, but it is slightly bigger, because it is newer than the trial version and might have some additional files.

you're gonna buy the engine!!! wow, i had no idea it was for sale... ha ha... just kidding... obviously you meant to say that you are buying a limited license to use Leadwerks...

and

i don't believe that c++ is the only programming language you know... i've never known a c++ coder who wasn't also conversant in c, some dialect of BASIC, and at least one scripting language...

but then again, i don't believe that the world is round either, so...

good luck... i think you'll enjoy working and or playing with Leadwerks...

@Jugg:

limited to making applications that do not directly compete with Leadwerks...

limited liability of Leadwerks to any and all damages arising out of the use of the software under license...

limited to what you can leaglly do with the software (reverse engineering??)...

those are just a few things off the top of my head... read the eula... i'm sure you'll find more "limiting" factors...

nothing out of the ordinary terms, typically found in most of these type software licenses...

Might be a little bigger. It uses a different download and install system.

"2: Once i buy Leadwerks 2.5, do i need to buy Leadwerks 3?

No."

Has the upgrade charge been waived for those who are buying Leadwerks 2.5 now ?

No, but you can live without Leadwerks 3. It will just be a miserable existence.

LE2 users will get a discount for Leadwerks 3 and have access to it before the public. It's cheapest to buy LE2 now and upgrade, rather than to wait.
