omid3098
I want to float my boat. here is what I did: well. first I have a boat with optimized collition tree (convex hull type). I checked oildrum properties and used it's .lua file as my boats .lua and used same .ini file. with these properties: now when I drag oildrum, it will fall down and float on water, but when I drag boat, it will not even fall down Quote Omid Saadat OD Arts Blog AMD Phenom II X4 940 - Geforce 8800GTS - 4GB RAM - XP x86 AMD 6000+ - Geforce 9800 GT - 2GB RAM - XP x86 (Home pc) Intel Core i7 - Geforce 310M - 4GB Ram - Win7 x64 (Laptop)

Gardowyr
You should make sure your phy file isn't a phy tree file - those are just for static objects and not for physical interaction except collision. Try to generate a convex hull instead.
Marleys Ghost
Good afternoon Marleys Ghost ! I exported it directely using Alex exporter.. Which means you are using Max which I dont have, I asked because when I have had things not effected by gravity/physics it was a .phy file issue. Not having Alex's exporter I have no experience with it. Marleys Ghost
You should make sure your phy file isn't a phy tree file - those are just for static objects and not for physical interaction except collision. Try to generate a convex hull instead. The files which are generated by Leadwerks automatically are physical trees. Morning Gardowyr, I think Alex's Max exporter does that, from what I have read about it, not from actual use though. If it does not then maybe saving the Boat as an .obj file and creating a new .phy with the LE tools might be something to try. fuego
Arbuznikov's exporter does the same thing, it exports to OBJ then take the next steps as you did. I think you should contact with him, he is a nice person. I had some issues with his exporter too and sent him a mail about it, he responded very quick and took his hours to solve my problem and came with a solution very fast. I am sure he will help you too.

ArBuZ
Hi guys! Im sorry, Ive made one mistake! Ive included fbx2gmf.exe to exporter archive instead of obj2phy.exe! That is why the exporter didnt generate *.phy files! To fix that just copy obj2phy.exe to "3dsmax root\scripts\startup\" or redownload exporter and extract it again. I will reupload it in a few seconds. Sorry for the inconvenience Quote Q6600@2.4GHz - 9600GT - 4GB DDR2@800MHz - Windows7 x64 3ds max / photoshop CS3 / C++ http://www.arbuznikov.com
omid3098
thank you Alex ;)it is really painful to export model by your exporter, export model as OBJ, use PhyGen to generate phy and use then GMF model. now we just need to "Export as GMF" !!!
