NightQuest
Once LE3 is released for sale on the 28th, will people still be able to purchase LE2.5? I have a friend without a license who I wish to work with on a project soon, but LE3 is far too expesive right now.
Josh
Leadwerks 2 is no longer for sale. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
Canardia
Why not sell a indie version of LE3: the engine only, no editor? What do you have to loose? It's only more customers, more profit. And without indies game development is not fun, it's just boring business. puki
Will LE2 still be hosted and accessible? I don't even have it installed on this DX11 gaming rig.
cassius
Josh has said he will still fix bugs in le2 so it follows that the updater should still work. puki
So, LE2 has surely just gone up in value? I mean, LE2 is potentially of more value to someone than LE3 - depending on their needs and requirements. I see something here. The rabbit may be in his hole, but the fox can see his ears. cassius
I think the idea is that le3 will outperform le2 in the longrun. Quote amd quad core 4 ghz / geforce 660 ti 2gb / win 10 Blender,gimp,silo2,ac3d,,audacity,Hexagon / using c++
puki
But at what cost? I think LE2 was $200 (USD). LE2 not being available for purchase means its value is whatever someone will pay for it.
cassius
I don;t follow your argument. If its no longer available noone CAN buy it.Not from Leadwerks anyway.
