LE3 : how many dynamic lights ?

I know it do'nt uses Deferred lightening.

I would want to know : how many dynamic lights we can put per level ?

How many will influence some surface model having some normal map shader or a character ?

How are they displayed ?

It does choose the closest four. Directional lights always have priority. The mobile shaders only use two lights by default, to save performance, but it is possible to change some constants in the shader and raise it to 4.

 

You can have any number of lights in the scene.

My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.

I'm ok for mobile.

But for PC actually it's somewhat limited, but i can do with that and by using some texture projection when it will be available.

In the future as PC graphics will improve, will it be some menu or button to tell we make a mobile game ? caus the engine should not display more lights and eye candy stuff for mobile and remain optimized ?
