YouGroove
I know it do'nt uses Deferred lightening. I would want to know : how many dynamic lights we can put per level ? How many will influence some surface model having some normal map shader or a character ? How are they displayed ? shadmar
I think you can put as many as you want, but only the 4 closest to the camera is rendered, Quote HP Omen - 16GB - i7 - Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB
YouGroove
Thanks shadmar, it will be enought with 4, and you mean 4 of any type ? One directionnal, one spotlight, 2 pointlights ? Quote Stop toying and make games
shadmar
Just tested, I thought it should work this way but it doesn't, it only lights up the 4 last ones added. Quote HP Omen - 16GB - i7 - Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB
YouGroove
Dynamic lights ? (I don't talk about BSP or lightmaps) too bad , perhaps only the 4 closest could have been activated. I think i will need to code such simple feature and manage lights myself, too bad again Quote Stop toying and make games
Josh
It does choose the closest four. Directional lights always have priority. The mobile shaders only use two lights by default, to save performance, but it is possible to change some constants in the shader and raise it to 4. You can have any number of lights in the scene. YouGroove
I'm ok for mobile. But for PC actually it's somewhat limited, but i can do with that and by using some texture projection when it will be available. In the future as PC graphics will improve, will it be some menu or button to tell we make a mobile game ? caus the engine should not display more lights and eye candy stuff for mobile and remain optimized ?
