reepblue
Playing with lights and it seems now the shadows have "blocks" on them. Must be in-game. Josh
What should I look for in that image? Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
reepblue
Not set up to upload videos on this machine and I don't feel like doing 2 factor auth with Google right now so here's a zip with a video. lightbugvido.zip Quote Cyclone - Ultra Game System - Component Preprocessor - Tex2TGA - Darkness Awaits Template (Leadwerks) If you like my work, consider supporting me on Patreon! Josh
Oh, okay, I can tell what is happening just by looking at the behavior. Ultra uses a technique called "clustered forward rendering". It appears the spotlight settings might not be considered correctly to tell which lights appear in which cells. reepblue
I've been having issues with all light types and the editor doesn't seem to show anything wrong. Might be worth adding "Real Time Rendering" feature for the editor so you can easily test runtime visuals. I can also send you my project which makes map loading 100 times easier. Josh
Yeah, it's a bug in the culling system, not in Vulkan. Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
Josh
This only happens with spot lights, right? Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.

Josh
Box lights seem fine, but yeah I need to look closer at point and spot light volume intersection... devtest.zip Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without. Josh
Something else strange. This doesn't seem to appear on the box lights, so maybe it will go away once I fix the main issue. Josh
It is strange that this seems to not happen at all in the editor... Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
Josh
This may have been caused by the Light::SetRange command not triggering the lighting bounding box to update. I updated the editor and it seems to be fixed in there...continuing to test... Quote My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
