I recommend using Steam peer-to-peer networking. "Servers" persist until the last player leaves, or it can be set up as a dedicated server. It can transfer files or whatever data you want.

A simple API is included in the default project template.

My job is to make tools you love, with the features you want, and performance you can't live without.
