A lot fo people are uploading own stuff here or small improvements to LE base files.

What happens if I run the updater/sync?

Are they overwritten?

How do you guys work with it? Sync'in only a few times? Overwriting files one by one with your custom stuff afterwards?

I found non standard replacements got over written, so I'd just sync and replace. More often as not the small improvements to LE base files get adopted in the SDK .. but I sync everyday and look in the log to see whats been added, and then replace if needed.

Well I have an identical folder structure to the SDK set up and as I change "things" add the changed file to the correct place in it.. then after a sync just drag it into the SDK root and click "Replace all" putting them all back .. long winded and possibly awkward but does for me .. :)

That's just a lot of wasted time. You would have to check each new file also, and implement the new changes to your changed files. With seperate filenames you don't have to do anything.
