Alienhead Posted yesterday at 03:45 PM Share Posted yesterday at 03:45 PM Inside the prefab studio we need a toggle switch for artificial light. I'm forced to create a point light now, position it and set it up just to see what im building in the prefab studio scene. Then I must delete it. When your working with several 1000 prefabs ( as I am ) this becomes cumbersome. Not to mention if I need to do any re-editing on a prefab I have to do the process all over again. Perhaps a toggle to have no light, or flat shaded or something.. Just to be able to see what is being created. 1 Quote I'm only happy when I'm coding, I'm only coding when I'm happy. Dreikblack Posted yesterday at 04:11 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:11 PM You can set grey or white for ambient light in world settings as a workaround
Alienhead
Okay that works for now I suppose. if you like work arounds lol... However, everytime I save a prefab in the studio and load my main map back up my prefabs in scene have moved 200 to 300 coordiantes on the x axis. I have to go back and realign them all. Also you have to set the ambient light each and everytime the prefab is loaded.. it does not save that, as i guess it shouldn't. Quote I'm only happy when I'm coding, I'm only coding when I'm happy. Alienhead
I just made a minor adjustment to a prefab. saved it, loaded the main map back up. 1. The originally placed prefab was scaled down to /12 its size, moved 320 coords on the x axis from its original position. It no longer showed up in the Prefabs folder, I had to drop out of the editor and reload the editor to get it to show up then when it did show up it was all screwed up so I loaded the prefab back into studio and got this scrambled thing. Josh
I would like to have a view option to disable lighting. This would be useful for painting in dark areas, too.
